Report of the OHCHR Investigation on Sri Lanka

This report, commissioned under Resolution 25/1 adopted in March 2014, is organised in a series of thematic chapters on unlawful killings, violations related to the deprivation of liberty, enforced disappearance, torture, sexual and gender-based violence, the abduction and forced recruitment of adults and the recruitment and use of children in hostilities.

Report of the OHCHR on Sri Lanka - Advance Unedited Version

This report is the advance unedited version that includes the principal findings of OHCHR’s comprehensive investigation into alleged serious violations and abuses of human rights and related crimes during the armed conflict in Sri Lanka. It also reviews human rights related developments in the country since March 2014.

Northern Provincial Council Resolution on Tamil Genocide

On the 10th of February 2015, Northern Provincial Council passed a resolution declaring that the successive Sri Lankan governments have carried out a campaign of genocide against the Tamil nation in the island. The resolution tabled by Chief Minister C.V. Wigneswaran urging the UN to refer the matter to the International Criminal Court (ICC), was passed at the 24th session of the maiden council with absolute majority.

Report of the Peoples' Tribunal on Sri Lanka - Bremen Session

The second session of the People's Tribunal on Sri Lanka held in Bremen, Germany from 7th to 10th of December 2013, was organized by the International Human Rights Association in Bremen and Irish Forum for Peace in Sri Lanka. The second session of the tribunal was tasked with investigating whether the Sri Lankan State is guilty of committing the crime of genocide against the Tamil people. The tribunal was conducted by Milan based Permanent Peoples’ Tribunal (PPT) and was hosted by Gemeindezentrum und Kiche St.Pauli, Bremen.

Report of the Army Board on LLRC observations

The full report compiled by the Sri Lanka Army Board on implementation of the recommendations of the Lessons Learnt & Reconciliation Commission (LLRC). The Board of Inquiry was appointed by  Army Commander Lieutenant General Jagath Jayasuirya.

Internal Review Panel on United Nations Action in Sri Lanka

This report was compiled by  a panel set up to investigate UN's own conduct during the final phase of the Sri Lanka war against the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam. The panel was headed by senior former UN official Charles Petrie.
