A Death in Summer: Farewell, Nimalaruban
The warm summer winds softly sighed as he silently left, in another blood stained July. Ganeshan Nimalaruban, a Tamil youth full of life, was tortured to death inside a maximum security prison in Sri Lanka in July 2012. No one observed one minute's silence and not many followed his casket from Colombo to his hometown. But journalist Sampath Samarakooon traveled to Vavuniya to bid farewell to Nimalaruban and to witness the moments of sorrow. (Click image below to view photo essay)
